Tamascan who clocked 8 ‘A’s in 2016 WASSCE wants to be a Doctor

Mohammed Hussein, a student of the Tamale Senior High School (Tamasco) has scored Excellent (A) in all the eight subjects he undertook in the 2016 West African Senior Secondary Examination (WASSCE).

Husein who offered Science at Tamasco yesterday checked his score after the West African Examination Council (WAEC) released the provisional results.

Hussein Mohammed speaking on North Star Fm Prime Time News today Thursday, August 11, 2016 said he could not control his joy when he checked the results online yesterday.

According to him, it didn’t come as surprise because that has been his determination since Junior High School.

Hussein who resides at the Vittin area of the Tamale Metropolis told North Star news that he aspire to be a Doctor in future, adding he already applied to offer Medicine at the University for Development Studies awaiting the results.

He also called for prayers from friends, love ones and all and sundry to enable him achieve his dream of becoming a Doctor in the near future.

Although 598 candidates who sat for this year’s WASSCE had their entire results cancelled, Ghana Senior High School and Tamale Senior High School are the only schools in Northern region among the best 50 performing schools in Ghana.

A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of WAEC, Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, said out of the 274,262 candidates who took the examination, 2,184 candidates had issues with their results.
