President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo is beginning a weeklong working tour of the three regions of the north starting today, Thursday July 18, 2018. He arrived today at the Tamale Airport and proceeded to the Upper East region for a two day tour of the area.
The President will visit the northern region on Saturday, July 21. Whilst in the region, Nana Akuffo Addo is expected to cut the sod for the construction of the Nasia-Janga Road; inspect ongoing works on the Nalerigu/Gambaga town roads; cut the sod for the 1-village-1-dam Integrated Agriculture with Renewable Energy for Poverty Eradication (IAREPE) project in Savelugu; cut the sod for the construction of a district hospital in Tolon, and also inspect ongoing works in the construction of a warehouse there as well.
The President will also commission a Motor king assembly plant at Lamashegu, cut sod for the construction of an accident and emergency centre at Yapei/Kusawgu, and will interact with Chiefs and traditional rulers in Buknkrugu, Nalerigu/Gambaga and Damongo respectively.
Nana Akuffo Addo who doubles as the Commander In-Chief of the Ghana Arm Forces will also participate in a durbar of chiefs and the people of the Bunkprugu traditional area; a durbar of chiefs and the people of Mamprugu and the Gonja traditional area as well before leaving for the Upper West region for the final tour.
This is the second annual tour of the country by President Nana Akuffo Addo to inform the citizenry what his government has done thus far.
