Following various representations made to the Regional Security Council to intervene in the matter of the recent banning of Entertainment activities at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, the council has consulted the Metropolitan Chief Excutive for Tamale on the issue.
The Regional Security Council after an exhaustive concidration has lifted the ban that was placed, whiles it allows the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly as the body responsible for regulating Entertainment activities in the Metropolis, to come out come out with strict procedures to guide such activities and related matters at the stadium and any other public place.
These were contained in a press release, signed by the Chief Director of the Regional Cordinating Council on behalf of the Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed and copied to North Star News.
REGSEC further emphasised that the conduct of any entertainment or related activity in the Metropolis requires the approval of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly which is to regulate such activities in line with their bye-laws. The Regional Security Council therefore appealed to all to comply with the this directive.
